Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP) is an illustration of change and hope for those who lack even basic education and healthcare. Because of Divine Secrets, JKP’s charitable efforts include empowerment of lives through education, empathy, and spiritual growth.
According to Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, serving God is meant to serve others. Based on this vision, he began a number of initiatives that give access to education, healthcare, meals, and shelter to underprivileged people. He taught that each person is sacred and deserves a chance to develop and succeed irrespective of their past.
Empowering Through Education.
Providing education has always been the foundation of the philanthropy of JKP. To help girls from rural and disadvantaged areas in Uttar Pradesh, Jagadguru Kripalu Balika Vidyalaya and Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Education (JKPE) were set up to offer free and high-quality schooling. They handle all the costs of tuition along with the need for uniforms, school books, travel, and meals, turning schools into better places for learning.
There is a young girl called Anjali from a remote village near Mangarh whose early dream was to become a teacher. Since they did not have enough to do so, her family couldn’t pay for her to go to school. Her enrollment in a JKP school turned things around for her—she did well in school and also developed confidence and self-expression. Now, Anjali is in school and wishes to come back to her village to teach girls just like her and help them succeed.
Uplifting with Skills and Self-Reliance
JKP’s commitment doesn't end with classroom learning. Many women are helped through vocational training and skills programs by the organization so they can find financial independence. Among these are tailoring, learning computer skills, and making handicrafts, which offer the beneficiaries skills to earn a sustainable living.
After her husband’s death, Rekha, a resident of Pratapgarh, took part in a tailoring course of this type. At first, she had some doubts, but soon she became skilled and began making money with her boutique. At present, she is involved in her children’s education and guides other women in her community, helping to empower more people.
Healing Hands and Open Hearts
Many people get free medical care at JKP hospitals because they cannot afford the basic services elsewhere. Many patients who could not get the medical help they needed have made progress and regained strength because of these services.
A Man who works as a laborer was badly injured; he received urgent care at a JKP hospital. Because he could not get treated elsewhere, he says working at JKP has saved his life and given him a new chance to look after his family.
